lichen this, lichen that. lichen guernsey.
So today I went to the northern shore of guernsey to look at lichens. it was a study so we had assigned quadrants and what not, and had to swab rocks for salinity. twas really windy but very epic weather. the sea was choppy and seemed to want to come out and eat us poor students. but it didn’t. the wind almost had its casualties. including a pair of gloves and other important papers. had lunch on the opposite beach. pics to come later.
and its dinner time! the white wine accompanying it excites me. too bad we have a lecture on tides after.
note: my play of words on the title only works with one of the two pronounciations of ‘lichen’.
